Boise Eliot Tree Inventory--Register now!
If you are unfamiliar with the Tree Inventory Project, check out the website here. This inventory is the first step in a process that will eventually result in a plan for managing our neighborhoods' street trees in the future. It is also the most fun part of that process--a great way to practice your tree ID skills, meet neighbors with whom you wouldn't otherwise cross paths, and see our neighborhoods in totally different way: tree by tree.
Volunteers are still needed for this project, and there are a few ways to help out:
~Team Leaders will get trained in tree ID and inventory protocol and take a leadership role on inventory work days.
~Data collection volunteers collect data during one or all of these morning sessions--no training or prior experience required.
~Trained aborists help groups answer especially tough ID questions during work days.
To sign up for any of these roles, see the links below. NOTE: the first Team Leader training is THIS SATURDAY and conveniently located at Matt Dishman Community Center. There will be both an AM and a PM session, so choose the one that fits best with your schedule.
