Mural Community Painting Event

Mural Title: Boise Community Dance!

Behind the design:

Thea: “I wanted to create something simple that resembled our beautiful community in a dance together, centering the native wildflower: western columbine. My vision is for people who see this mural to be inspired to continue to build and support community. Go alone, you'll go fast. Go together, we'll go far! I am an ecologist as well as an artist, and I feel a calling to remind people, regardless of our origin, that the land is at the center of our being. We can connect over our care and love for the land, and see that we support the many generations that are to come.

I hope at some point during the painting or completion of this mural, that participants and on-lookers may hold hands in a circle around this art, brought together by the activity and sentiment!”

The mural will be painted at Kerby Ave/Beech St. We are getting the permit and paint. We will have a community painting party on a TBD date. Sign up for the e-newsletter (above right) for announcements on a painting party date.

Submission deadline is closed.

The Boise Neighborhood Association invited neighbors to submit design ideas for a future street mural at a future four-way residential intersection in our neighborhood. The submissions were due June 1, 2026. We hope to do more than one mural, so if you missed the deadline, you’ll have another chance when we open it up again!
