GET INVOLVED - VOLUNTEER!

We can do more together. Bring your ideas or join one of our committees. Neighbors don’t have to be on the Board to start or join a committee. All are welcome!

The board chooses to endorse or support a neighborhood member’s project, committee, or event by vote at a neighborhood meeting.

We have several volunteer opportunities. Some bigger, some smaller. Find something that fits you!

• Communications

  • Instagramer - We need someone to capture the fun we have during events, the vibe of the neighborhood, etc.

  • Journalist - We need neighbors to contribute articles for the Boise Voice. No previous experience necessary.

• SALT - Join the newly recreated Safety & Livability Team.

  • Become a Neighborhood Emergency Team member.

  • Help us advocate for cleaner air and fight against diesel pollution by large trucking fleets in Oregon.

  • Engaging in meaningful ways to help our houseless neighbors get the help they need and off the streets.

  • Sign up for Adopt One Block, receive supplies and take care of a small area.

• LUTC

  • We are in the works on identifying and applying for a Street Plaza on a side street off Mississippi or possibly Williams/Vancouver.

  • We’re advocating for crosswalks across Skidmore for everyone, but in particular, kids heading to BEH elementary.

• EVENTS

  • Social planners - Do you like to party? We can always use help putting on our annual POP National Night Out party in Unthank Park every August.

  • Volunteer to be a part of the Dumpster Day crew during our annual event.
