PORTLAND DISTRICTS AND REPRESENTATIVES

Boise neighborhood is in District 2 for both the City and the County.

The City of Portland Council District 2 includes 29 neighborhoods in North and Northeast Portland. There are a total of 12 elected Councilors, with 3 representing each District.

Because Multnomah County covers more than just the City of Portland, the boundary for County Commissioner District 2 is bigger covering all of City District 2 and parts of Districts 1 and 3 in North and Northeast Portland. There are a total of 5 elected officials, 1 Commissioner per County District and 1 Chair.

It can seem disheartening to think an individual can make a difference in the world today, especially when democracy feels like it’s faltering. But you truly can! Connecting with your City and County representatives is both direct and easy.  It’s also the place where your voice has a greater impact.

Besides sharing your concerns with the Boise Neighborhood Association, you have four representatives you speak to.

In 2025, through a voter mandate, Portland retired its century-old commission system and now operates a modern district-based mayor-council system. It’s designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and provide more direct representation with all members selected through ranked choice voting.

Boise’s District 2 City Council reps are:
