Apply Now to be a Neighborhood Tree Steward
Are you interested in being an advocate for trees in your neighborhood? Portland's urban forest needs neighbors who care for the trees of our community. The 2022 Neighborhood Tree Stewards (NTS) course will run 4/26 – 6/4, check out the program overview online.
The Neighborhood Tree Stewards (NTS) course introduces and engages participants to learn about many urban forestry topics such as:
Tree care and stewardship
Tree Identification
Portland’s Tree Code
Heritage Trees and more!
The services that healthy trees provide are important to the health of the people in our city. Stewards work with the community to bring these services to all community members. To learn more about the program, please visit the webpage or contact Clare Carney, Outreach and Stewardship Coordinator, clare.carney@portlandoregon.gov. Applications are due 4/15/22.
