Councilors Dan Ryan, Elana Pirtle-Guiney and Sameer Kanal are holding a joint town hall featuring City Administrator Raymond Lee this Saturday, July 25, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Alberta Abbey, 126 NE Alberta St.

We know many Portlanders have questions and thoughts about a potential deal to renovate the Moda Center—so let's talk about it. I hope to see you there for a dialogue about the future of this important city asset.

This past week, the city advanced a first draft term sheet for the renovation of the Moda Center. This term sheet reflects the city’s draft negotiating position, and councilors, like you, are just now reacting and weighing in. As we continue to negotiate a deal, I am thinking a lot about the investments we need in the neighborhoods surrounding the Moda Center and how the future of this venue can provide public benefits for communities closest to the arena. 

Council will consider the term sheet at its August 5th meeting with the goal of taking a vote on the final draft on August 12th.
