Invest in the Soul of Portland
The MLK Dream Run is an annual fundraiser for the Soul District Business Association. Participating in this event supports:
Small Business Training Program - Business coaching, referrals that matter, branding, marketing and promotion
Our Youth Entrepreneurship Program (ages 16 -24). Teaching professional development, expanding business skill set, and operating a successful business.
Kickoff Celebration SATURDAY September 20th
Start your weekend with your community in North Portland. Enjoy live entertainment, food, drinks, and our Soul-Fun vendor market. Enter our raffle for a chance to win great prizes, including a round trip ticket on Alaska Airlines. We recommend racers pick up their runner packets during kickoff day.
10am to 6pm at Portland Community College Cascade
Race Day SUNDAY September 21st
Line up for our USATF certified race. Enjoy a run/walk with your friends through the Soul District or race for a chance to win a round trip travel voucher courtesy of Alaska Airlines. The race will start and finish at Portland Community College with a Dave's Killer Bread grilled cheese for all our racers after crossing the finish line.
7am to 12pm at Portland Community College Cascade
