We have compiled a list of places to get emergency food if SNAP benefits are paused tomorrow. 

Two Local Food Pantries in the neighborhood: Hand Up Project and First AME Zion Church.

Delicious Donuts

12 S.E. Grand Ave. is offering free doughnuts, coffee and breakfast items to anyone who needs extra support, no purchase required and no questions asked.
 

Mikiko Mochi Donuts

This mochi donut shop with multiple locations is giving away free donuts to anyone who shows a benefits card.
 

Laughing Planet

Laughing Planet, which has locations throughout the state, is offering kid and adult meals for free to help feed people losing benefits. Just ask for a “kid SNAP” or “adult SNAP” meal or both.
 

AG Burrito Shops

Oregon State Representative Ricki Ruiz is working with AG Burrito Shops, which has locations around the Portland area, to offer burritos to people who are losing benefits.
 

DB Dessert Company

DB Dessert Company (2624 N.E. Alberta St.) is offering free, fresh loaves of bread to anyone losing benefits, starting on Saturday. They will continue offering the bread as long as they are able.
 

El Sombrero Tapatio

El Sombrero Tapatio (10820 N.E. Sandy Blvd.), a Mexican restaurant in Parkrose, is offering free meals to those losing benefits. Ask for the “SNAP meal” and let them know if you prefer chicken or beef and they will make you a meal, no questions asked.
 

Mama Chow’s Kitchen

Mama Chow’s Kitchen (3757 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.), a food truck serving Chinese food, pledged on Instagram to feed senior citizens and children who lose benefits starting Thursday. Just say “Pans” when you reach the counter.
 

The Pharmacy PDX

The Pharmacy PDX (2100 N.W. Glisan St.), a bar in Nob Hill, is giving away meals every week until benefits come back. According to Instagram, anyone who wants to reserve a meal  chicken enchiladas this week  should email ThePharmacyPDX@gmail.com before 8 a.m. on Saturday with the number of people who will be eating. Meals will be picked up on Sunday.
 

GeekEasy Anime Cafe

GeekEasy Anime Cafe (310 N.W. Davis St.), an anime cafe in Northwest Portland, is offering free meals to anyone who needs them during the government shutdown. Anyone who comes up to the counter and asks for an “Otaku Special” will get a free ham and cheese or mixed greens wrap as well as a coffee or iced tea. Those who want to help buy some of those Otaku Specials can “pay it forward” on the GeekEasy website.
 

Nan’s Taqueria

Nan’s Taqueria (15640 S.E. Happy Valley Town Center Drive, Happy Valley) is making meals for anyone who asks. She is giving people boxes full of food and supplies. People are donating to her at her shop but also sending money through Venmo at @miranda-silva82. Those in need of help can email nanstaqueria@gmail.com.
 

Heretic Coffee

Heretic Coffee (5120 S.E. 28th Ave., Portland) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit coffee shop that trains people to become baristas and coffee roasters. The coffee shop has been soliciting donations to help pay for meals.
 

Creekside BBQ

Creekside BBQ (910 N.E. Tenney Rd., Suite 119, Vancouver), a Texas-style barbecue, is offering “anyone in the community who needs it a hot meal,” according to a Facebook post. “Just stop in and ask for the shutdown special,” the post said. “No questions asked, and definitely no judgment.”

Grassa

Kids whose families set to lose their food benefits at the end of the month eat free at Grassa, a counter-service Italian restaurant, which has locations in downtown and Northwest Portland and at the Portland International Airport. Show your SNAP card, and any child in your group eats a kids’ pasta on us.
 

Salvi PDX

For the whole month of November, Salvi PDX (2030 S.E. 7th Ave.), a Salvadoran restaurant that operates out of Ground Breaker Brewing, is giving away free pupusitas to anyone who has lost food benefits.
 

Red Sauce Pizza

Red Sauce Pizza (4641 N.E. Fremont St.) is giving away frozen pizzas for children losing benefits. They will be available for ordering on Saturday.
 

Miss Delta

Miss Delta (3950 N. Mississippi Ave.), a barbecue restaurant, said they will give anyone with an EBT card “a pulled pork po boy or a BBQ cheeseburger” after benefits run out, according to a post on Threads.
 

Donut Land

Inspired by Heretic Coffee, this doughnut shop is offering free breakfasts to anyone losing SNAP benefits. Visit 19350 S.W. Boones Ferry Rd. in Tualatin and ask for the “SNAP breakfast.”
 

Pizzeria Stellina

The Pizzeria Stellina cart at The Heist food cart pod, 4727 S.E. Woodstock Blvd., is offering free pepperoni calzones to anyone losing their SNAP benefits, no questions asked.
