Become a PCCEP Member! Youth & Adult Seats Open

PCCEP Recruiting for Youth and Adult Members of Community Policing and Public Safety Committee

The PCCEP (Portland Committee on Community-Engaged Policing) is seeking Portland residents who are passionate about impacting the future of policing and public safety in our city.

Over the last year, PCCEP has worked on many issues that will have a lasting impact on Portland, including successfully recommending the City abandon plans for gunshot detection technology, providing community oversight to the Settlement Agreement process, and connecting the community to City leadership for dialogue about Portland Street Response.

Under the Settlement Agreement, PCCEP has authority to make recommendations to the Mayor based on community input. The Mayor is required to issue a formal response to all PCCEP recommendations, which is a unique feature to our committee.

As a PCCEP member, you'll gain valuable, hands-on experience in public policy development and community advocacy - an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about the field. This position also comes with a monetary stipend.

We have youth (16-23 years old) and at-large (24 years old +) seats available!
