Word is Bond is excited to be hosting our second annual In My Shoes walking tours in celebration of Black History Month.

This year's tours include eight different neighborhoods across Portland and the Vancouver area including the King neighborhood, historic Albina, New Columbia, Goose Hollow, and more. Each tour is an opportunity to listen to the voices of local young Black men about their personal narratives, and visions for the city, and learn about local Black history. New this year, we will also have guest speakers from residents and community partners to share their experiences as well.

We'd like to invite you to get to know the community through a youth lens and from our ambassadors who are working to create their own narratives. This year's tours be on a sliding scale from $0.0 to $25.00 depending on each person's ability to pay. Funds will be going towards our Spring Leadership Forum to Washington D.C. and our Black Star Homecoming Expedition in Ghana, this Spring, and Summer respectively.
