Misplaced Power Poles Along Vancouver Ave

I’m sure by now every resident in Boise has notice the string of Pacific Power utility poles that were placed in the worst places along Vancouver Ave. The poles completely block crosswalks, traffic signs and look ridiculous.

What happened? A mistake.

Why is it taking so long to fix? Unknown.

PBOT is aware and has let the BNA know that the poles were permitted to replace the old utility poles. They were never supposed to drill new holes. They are working with Pacific Power to rectify the situation.

The problem will be fixed some day (unknown date). The old poles will be removed and the new ones placed in the old poles original spot. Don’t be alarmed when Pacific Power does a stop gap measure to temporarily fix the debris field and gaping holes formed at the base of the new poles. They plan to add a temporary hard surface soon.
