National Night Out

National Night Out is a community event celebrated annually on the first Tuesday in August throughout the U.S. and Canada with a focus on strengthening neighborhoods and preventing crime. The purpose of National Night Out is to:

  • Heighten community awareness of crime and drug prevention

  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships

  • Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

  • Promote emergency preparedness awareness

Come meet your neighbors and local public safety officials, enjoy some ice cream & cold beverages, listen to music, and play some games. Keep an eye out for further info via flyers and later posts! Party will be August 2nd from 5-8PM under some shady trees on the grass. Our friend Nikki Brown Clown will be returning to provide face painting and fun for the kiddos :)

Interested in helping out with this fun community event? We need some help delivering flyers to the neighborhood. Also needed are coolers, a few tables and chairs, a canopy or two, etc. Lastly, we are on the hunt for a musician or live band. Let me know if you have any suggestions or would like to help out - we could really use it since we've got a time crunch!
