Boise Land Use and Transportation Committee meeting

The next Boise Land Use and Transportation Committee meeting will be held Monday June 22nd 7pm at the Q Center (4115 N Mississippi).  All are welcome.

We have planned a meeting with several City of Portland staffers in attendance addressing parking, upcoming zoning changes and the North Rodney Greenway.

Agenda: (times approximate)
7pm Introductions

7:05 pm Public Comment

7:15 pm Automobile Parking: Grant Morehead of PBOT will share results of the parking occupancy and turnover analysis recently completed on and around N Mississippi Avenue.  This study is part of the larger Centers, Corridors, Parking Toolkit and Analysis project. The study area within Boise can be found here.

Barry Manning of the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability will discuss the new  Mixed Use Zones Project.   This project proposes new mixed use planning and zoning designations to implement the “Centers and Corridors” concepts that emerged from The Portland Plan and the Comprehensive Plan Update planning processes.  Specifically,  the commercial EX zoning on N Williams, N Vancouver and N Mississippi as well as the CS zoning on N Mississippi is being proposed to change.

8:40 pm  North Rodney Greenway: Rich Newlands of the Bureau of Transportation will update us on status of implementation of this traffic calming project.  The diverter at N Ivy is a particular focus of this presentation.
